Julio López-Bastida

PhD, (male) is Associate Professor in the Health Science Faculty of the Castilla-La Mancha University. He also collaborates in the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE Health). From 1994 to 1998, he was a researcher/teaching in the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. Dr. López-Bastida received an MSc in Science from Aston Business School and a Ph.D from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1997. Dr. Lopez-Bastida had coordinated two European Projects financed by DG-SANCO and FP7-Health. The projects are titled “The social economic costs and health-related quality of life of rare diseases in Europe (BURQOL-RD)” and “Advancing and strengthening the methodological tools and practices relating to the application and implementation of Health Technology Assessment (ADVANCE-HTA)”. He has been published in several International journals. He has more than 100 publications including books, articles in peer-review journals. His research interests concentrate on health service research, economic evaluation, pharmaceuticals policy, cost of illness studies and health related quality of life.

PhD, (male) is Professor in the in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law of the Castilla-La Mancha University, Toledo, Spain. Dr. Oliva-Moreno received a Bachelor in Economics from Carlos III University in 1996 and a Ph.D from the University Complutense in 2005. The main lines of his research are the economic impact that chronic diseases have on individuals and society as a whole (social costs beyond health care expenditures), as well as the potential usefulness of the economic evaluation of health interventions in the prioritization of public and private resources in order to improve population`s health. These researches have been carried out with the support of both national and international projects obtained in competitive calls and research contracts funded by public institutions (European Commission, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Regional Ministries of Health) and private firms and foundations. He has published one hundred papers in scientific journals (Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, European Journal of Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, Health Policy, Diabetes Care, Neurology, Journal of Alzheimer´ Disease) and has participated in 30 collective works (books and book chapters).

PhD, (female) is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law of the Castilla-La Mancha University, Toledo, Spain. Dr. Peña-Longobardo received a Bachelor in Business and Administration and a PhD in Public Health Research. Her research interests concentrate on health service research, economic evaluation, cost of illness studies and social costs. These researches have been carried out with the support of both national and international projects obtained in competitive calls and research contracts funded by public institutions (European Commission, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Regional Ministries of Health) and private firms and foundations. She has published thirty articles in both national and international journals with high impact factor.

PhD, (male) is Associate Professor in the Economic and Finance Analysis Department (https://www.uclm.es/departamentos/daef ) of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain (https://www.uclm.es/toledo/fcsociales). Dr. Aranda-Reneo received a Bachelor in Bussiness and Administration and a PhD in Public Health Research. His main research activities have been focused in cost-of-illness studies, economic evaluation and systematic reviews.

Beatriz-Rodriguez-Sanchez

Beatriz Rodríguez-Sánchez

PhD, (female) is a research fellow in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law of the Castilla-La Mancha University, Toledo, Spain. Dr. Rodríguez-Sánchez graduated in Business Administration and Management at the University Carlos III (Madrid, Spain), then got a master of science (MSc) in Health Economics in the University of York (United Kingdom) and a PhD in Economics from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). Her research interests concentrate on health service research, especially among older populations, economic evaluation, cost of illness studies and social costs. All these activities have been supported by public, national and international, institutions in competitive calls or by private companies. She holds eleven research articles in international scientific journals with a very high impact factor.

Emilia-Ramos-Galera

Emilia Ramos has a MSc in computer enginery by the University of Granada. She began her professional career in private sector, where she carried out tasks such as development & support of ERP systems and DBA as well. Since 2002 she started working in IT department of the Andalusian School of Public Health as a IT specialist carrying out tasks including software development, analysis and maintenance in several IT projects related to consultancy, Research and international health. She is currently working as DBA, web developer, eHealth conference coordinator and teacher in virtual courses.
